Hibernate/suspend (Hardy) issues on Latitude D505

Installed Hardy on my laptop but it seems that the issue with the hibernate:suspend isn't solved yet. Any ideas how I could solve this?

I've been looking on the Ubuntu forum but haven't found the right solution

Any info is appriciated

push the power button to switch of my laptop because it's completely frozen and the only response I get is when I completely turn it offI

What X driver are you using?  If unsure:

grep -i driver /etc/X11/xorg.conf

if using NVIDIA driver, then also post

grep -i NVRM /var/log/mess*

list any files in /etc/pm/config.d
