Mini 9 Ubuntu Keyboard Layout GB
What settings do you use to get the GB layout to stay set between on/off sessions?
I have the UK layout set as default. But when I restart the Mini 9 SHIFT+@=" and not @ etc.[:'(]
Any suggestions how to fix it ?

Try this, it worked for me
1) Go to System > Preferences > Sessions
2) Click on "Add"
3) Under "Name" enter "Keyboard layout setup"
Under "Command" enter /usr/bin/setxkbmap
Under "Comment" enter any comment
4) Click on "OK" (don't press Enter), then "Close"
5) The new entry won't show up in the list. Go again to System > Preferences > Sessions and make sure it's listed there.
6) Click "Close"
I have to say it was a little frustrating until I stumbled across this.
