My Dell GX520 is being mean! I want FreeNAS
I tried to install FreeNAS, but it crashes during install. So I go to reinstall Windows, and it crashes half-way through! What the what? I reset the CMOS, and no change? Any suggestions?
1Gb Ram
80Gb HDD
Pentium 4 Prescott
Completely stock.

Thank you for using the Dell Community Forum.
Did you install FreeNAS and then tried to install Windows without re-formatting the drive first? If so, this may be why it crashed.

Yup. I reformatted with the XP disk, and then I removed the drive and reformatted to FAT32. Still no signs of life.

Try deleting the partitions and then re-create a partiton. Once the partition is created format then reinstall.
