TrueMobile wireless support under Linux!

This just came out today. Linuxant (http://linuxant.com) has released their DriverLoader software that allows you to use a TrueMobile (or any other Broadcom-based wireless card) under Linux using the Windows drivers. It's only a 30-day trial (they don't know if they'll start charging later or not), but it's better than nothing. I'm typing this now on Debian 3.0r1 over my new TM1300 connection!

Here's the link: http://www.linuxant.com/drivers_bcmwl/index.php

I just got this info from the sourceforge project and am using it on RH 9. It is working great so far!!! I just hope they don't decide to charge for it, or at least not an arm and a leg!!!

I'm using this right now as well. This is very, very cool. I think they are going to charge a little for it, but as you said - hopefully not an arm and a leg...

It's working great for me too, Truemobile 1400 on an Inspiron 5150 with RH9.

Yes, I am also using the linuxant driver on my Inspiron 4150, (Broadcom 4301 -TrueMobile 1180),
under RH9. So far it's working. Almost unbelievable. I'm incredulous. I'm glad to be rid of the PCMCIA
1150 solution I was using. It was great, but the form factor was a problem. If this works as expected, it's
a keeper!
