XPS 13 9360 (i5-8250U) - GNU/Linux - Noise/Crackling after sleep/hibernate

My XPS 13 exhibits a crackling noise under certain conditions. This can be forced by e.g. playing a (muted) video. Using the Kernel parameter

i915.enable_guc_loading=1

resolves this problem until the first sleep/hibernate. After wakeup, the crackling noise is back. I am running Fedora but verified that the problem also exists with Ubuntu 16.04 LTS which appears to be officially supported. I also tried disabling wireless devices in the BIOS which did not fix the problem.

I was in contact with a Community Technologist from the German Dell support community [1] who sent me here after suggesting the fixes outlined above. Any ideas how to proceed? I already posted this in the Laptop forums, but there was no reaction. I also found an older thread in this forum with a similar problem, also with no solution and no reaction from Dell.
