problem with system mechanic
hi there the problem that i have is that my norton 360 is conflicting with system mechanic. i was updating norton then i had a problem instaling the updated version with norton so i contacted norton support and they were saying that system mechanic conflicts with norton 360. i got system mechanic through dell support witch i paid for . looking for advice on this problem

It depends on your version, as far as whether or not you have System Guard. I don't use the program, but as I understand it, System Guard is used for blocking unwanted programs and Internet pages. The Pro version has a virus scanner. Is that the version that you have? http://www.iolo.com/system-mechanic/pro/#Compare

i have noticed that safeguard has turned it's self back on i shut down safe guard but seems to be back on

If it was configured to be enabled at startup that will happen. Otherwise, you will have to disable System Mechanic's guard manually when necessary.
A more permanent solution would be to remove the program and use something that does not conflict with your anti-virus.

i clicked on the disable alerts button then it changes to a red colour that just disables the alerts then i clicked on shutdown safe guard as i have done previously so fingers crossed it will work this time. thank you again for taking time to answer my enquiry
