2500 FPW horizontal lines
I have a Dell 2500FPW monitor that has heavy horizontal distortion(lines) when i start up and when the screen has been sleeping. On start up, it takes about 5 minutes for it to go away. After it wakes from sleep it usually takes less time but that depends on how long it has been sleeping for.
suggestions please.

Can you replicate the issue on another PC?

yes, it started happening on our old tower. And, we just replaced it with a new one. Same situation. horizontal lines at start up and wake up that eventually go away. the longer the coomputer has been idle, the longer it takes fir the lines to go away.

Then it is defective.

defective as is in through it away and go buy another? or defective as in send it to dell for so they can replace it for free. The monitor is past warranty and over 5 years old.
