3007 right brighter than left fixable by firmware too???

I see firmware update is available for fixing color band and text blur issue in 2x07 monitors. Does 3007's right brighter than left have a cure, such as firmware update or something else? What is the nature of this issue?

I saw this article a few weeks ago regarding the 3007: http://www.dailytech.com/article.aspx?newsid=2122

It is not related to any of the issues being seen by the 2x07's as far as I know, but the article does explain it more fully.

It should be on every 3007 more or less. Someone on Hardfroum (http://www.hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1096623) said currently very uniform backlight does not exist in such panel. Anyway, if you look hard, most LCD panels have more or less problems. Well if you have any dead pixel or backlight bleeding on your current one, then chances are that there is less to none on the replacement.

Me too. I noticed, (before reading anything about this here) my 3007 has a brighter right side than the left side, and contacted hardware support who led me through some useless tests, then agreed to send me a replacement.

Is this brightness problem apparent in ALL 3007WFP's? If so, a replacement would be useless.

It's not *that* bad, but it is noticeable if you look hard.
