AW2518HF, Nvidia GTX 970, 240 Hz, Random black screens

I just got my AW2518HF last week and I have the same issue as those AMD users. I tried using two different DP cables and the problem still exists and It usually goes black when I was playing competitive games, feels bad man.

The AW2518HF was only designed to function correctly with AMD video cards and AMD FreeSync to attain 240Hz.

Thanks for the reply, I am using the Nvidia GTX 970, and I am using a S2417DG monitor at the same time, and it doesn't have the black screen problem.

Started a new thread since you are not using the AMD video card.

You got the wrong monitor...
The $499 AW2518HF is supported by Dell for AMD FreeSync.
The $699 AW2518H is supported by Dell for Nvidia G-SYNC.
The $569 S2417DG is supported by Dell for Nvidia G-SYNC.

You have placed yourself in an odd predicament of mixing technology. A 2014 Nvidia video card, an AMD monitor, and an Nvidia monitor. The GTX 970 pixel clock 497MHz is not high enough (minimum 586Hz) to run well at 240Hz.
Options =
* Return the AW2518HF and purchase the AW2518H and a newer Nvidia video card to fully utilize Nvidia G-SYNC on both the AW2518H and S2417DG
* Replace the 2014 Nvidia GTX 970 with an AMD Radeon RX 470/RX 480 video card and use the S2417DG at 60Hz

Same problem on 3 different gpu setups: 780 gtx, 780 gtx SLI and 1070 GTX.
Is there a solution yet or only a return?
I don't need g-sync or freesync so this monitor should work regardless of gpu brand otherwise it's defective.

mmfb,

Your statement is incorrect, "so this monitor should work regardless of gpu brand otherwise it's defective."

The AW2518HF was never designed to function with Nvidia. You are using it in an improper manner. The AW2518HF was only designed to function correctly with AMD video cards and AMD FreeSync to attain 240Hz.

Read the sticky, "AW2518H and AW2518HF, Dell policy".
