BIOS screen won't display on monitor

Hi,

Hope someone can help.

New XPS with 2417H monitor.

Tried to access BIOS screen to alter boot sequence. Simply won't display (also "Dell" logo on boot does not display...nothing shows until lock screen). F2 key press simply causes monitor to display "no signal" and goes to power save mode.

Tried substituting my old Dell monitor and BIOS displayed without issue (as does "Dell" logo on boot).

Awkward having to swap monitors every time I need to access BIOS.

Any thoughts?

Thank you in anticipation.

Hi Robert,

Thank you for your reply. The problem is solved. I thought I had correct cable/port when I posted but having looked again I realise I had the wrong port from the computer although the display worked perfectly from the Windows lock screen.

Thanks again.

Hi C.I.,

Thanks for posting.

Could you please post which computer out port you are using and to what monitor in which port, using what cabling?  Thanks.
