Dell 3008wfp Not Saving Window Position/Size
I have a Studio XPS 9000, Radeon 5870 HD, Win7 64. Computer is connected to the monitor via displayport. All is fine except for the following issue..
If you turn the monitor off and back on, all minimized/active windows move to the top left corner of the screen and they re-size smaller. Every single time. I have to move them back where they were and re-size them.
ATI said it was not the card, that it was a chip on the monitor not saving the information. I don't know what to believe but it's rather annoying. I need some help/answers. Calling dell tech support is pretty much a joke.

Does this occur using DVI to DVI?

No, it does not. Just tested. It's really aggravating because I like displayport much better. However it seems something is wrong. I have 3 x 3008 monitors and 3 x XPS 9000 machines. All identical and ALL do the same thing when using displayport.

Anyone have any suggestions? Pretty sad I spend all this money and out of the gate, have issues. :(

Hi all.
I also faced this issue on following environment.
-DELL U2410 monitor
-DELL Inspiron 530
-Radeon HD 5770(Catalyst 10.10)
Can anyone solve this problem?:emotion-9:
