Dell monitor

I just purchased a Dell 27" monitor for my Dell laptop

I find it laughable that the monitor was supplied with a VGA cable even though the monitor has a HDMI slot built in.

Even more frustrating is that the laptop no longer supports the VGA cable.

I wonder if Dell are aware that the rest of us are in the 2nd decade of the 21st century

Your unique service tag number shows us that you purchased the SE2719H monitor. The monitor manufacturer dictates what cables ship with what monitor model, not Dell.

The online SE2419H/SE2419HX/SE2719H/SE2719HX User’s Guide shows us the following cable information =

Every Dell monitor online User's Guide specifies which cable ships in the box. If you had told us which specific 27" monitor model, we could show you the page in the User's Guide.
