Delll 17" M872p Monitor question?
I have just reformated my PC Dell Dimension 4550 - Windows XP. Everything went fine until it came time to reinstall my monitor. I need to know how to get rid of the driver that refuses to uninstall. The properties and options for the existing monitor generic driver (Display/Advanced/Settings/Monitor Tab) are completely grayed out so I'm unable to get to the Dell monitor driver in the driver list. Can someone "in the know" help me with this problem? Thank you if you can!

Jessie, that's the first thing that I did. I downloaded the monitor M82p driver from Dell. The problem is (I think) that I can't get the PC to recognize my Dell monitor. The driver details and upgrade options are all grayed out, except for the generic monitor icon (which is not a live link). Do I need to reset the monitor's connection to my PC? If so how?

When you disconnect and then re-connect the monitor does it detect that monitor once the driver is loaded?
