E248WFP vs. E248FP?

I have searched the boards and I've found mention of the E248FP monitor but I can't find any other product information on that exact model. I have found a user's guide for E248WFP in Dell's documentation, but not for E248FP (sans W). Can anybody explain the difference between these models?

I ask because I work for an A/V firm and I'm looking for a user's guide that relates to a certain part number--the part number in our system says "E248FP - LCD monitor, 24" widescreen" (note that this part number is sans W). I even tried calling Dell, and that was pointless.

Help, please? :)

Thanks in advance.

I believe, your monitor, as you quoted  "E248FP - LCD monitor, 24" widescreen" is E248WFP so you have the correct user manual. “W” simply indicates it is widescreen which you indicate you have.

If for ever reason your monitor is not widescreen, than that is a different story. I do not know if this is the information you are looking for.

Yes, that is what I was thinking. I don't have the monitor here--it is for a customer, and is already installed on site--but I don't know anyone who orders non-widescreen monitors these days.

Thanks for your best guess. :)

How does the E248WFP compare to the  2408WFP? The E248WFP is sold by SAMS, I I was not able to find it through Dell?! Instead, Dell is selling the 2408WFP.

A big difference is the E248WFP is a TN panel, whereas the 2408WFP is a S-PVA panel. I looked EVERYWHERE locally today for the 2408WFP in a retail store and unfortunately all of my retailers carried only "cheap" LCD panels.
