G2723HN, GTX 1080, won't go above 120Hz

I just got the G2723HN and I can't find any settings that will allow it to reach the 165Hz it advertises, or anything above 120Hz.

Connected DP to a GTX 1080. The Nvidia control panel only has options up to 120Hz. There are no overclocking options in the OSD. The manual shows up to 120 with 'alternate mode' but there is no other reference explaining what this mode is?

Click the hyperlinked DELL-Cares username. On the right, click, "Send this user a private message". Share the private Service Tag with them.

The G2723HN is an AMD FreeSync Premium monitor with Nvidia G-Sync compatibility.

* Open the G2723HN Menu
* Go to Game
* Set AMD FreeSync Premium to On
* Exit the Menu

* Then follow the "Steps to Enable Nvidia G-Sync" here. Do you now see the Hz 144 and 165?

Ah I actually had to scroll down the list of resolutions in the Nvidia control panel to select 1080p under the 'PC' heading and 165 was there. Thanks!
