I have this same issue
I know this an old thread, however I have a had a S2340M with this exact issue for a couple years now, didn't realize this was a known issue for this model. I would like to know if there is a way of getting this fixed.

Unfortunately, Dell does not repair monitors or sell monitor components. We simply exchange them while under the three year warranty.
