S2218H, service tag and code, resolution issue

Hi, I purchased a Dell S2218H model monitor few days back. But the service tag mentioned on the box as well as backside of monitor doesn't match with the website when i try  to check the the warranty status.  Would appreciate if you can let me know whether i purchased original dell product or not. Or if there any different search criteria? Also, the PC can not detecting the monitor name/model number (Screen resolution option) despite of installing monitor driver. Looking forward to have a quick response from your end.

If the monitor was purchased from Dell, use your order number to look up the details.

If it was purchased from a third party, ask the seller.

Thanks. But why the PC is not detecting the monitor name/model number (Screen resolutation option) despite of installing monitor driver.

What is the Service Tag number and Express Service Code? (Send them to me via Private Message)
What PC model?
What video card is in the PC?
How is the S2218H connected to the video card using which ports and cabling?

The service tag number is showing in our tool as a U2717D. But the serial number is correct showing a S2218H. You will need to contact Technical Support for your country. Provide to them the service tag number and the serial number. They will then need to contact the Dell Tag Team via Chat to get this corrected.

Setup =
PC onboard GPU VGA out port --> VGA to VGA cable --> S2218H VGA in port

* Both the PC and the S2218H are on
* Press the S2218H Menu button
* Go to Input Source
* Check VGA
* Turn Auto Select Off
* Exit the Menu

* Install the Windows driver
* Restart the PC when done

* Press the S2218H Menu button
* The resolution at the bottom of the screen should show 1920x1080, 60Hz
* Exit the Menu

* Open All Control Panel Items- Display- Screen Resolution
Display = S2218H
Resolution = 1920 x 1080 (recommended)
