S2716DGr, issues with power cable

I have fairly severe issues with the power connection on my S2716DGr. If I touch the cable while it is on, it will often turn off and need a fair bit of jiggling to turn back on again. It can also be hard to initially turn on the S2716DGr without jiggling the cable. Based on other posts I've seen, this could be an issue of a faulty power cable? Could a replacement be sent?

* From whom and when was this S2716DGr purchased? The "r" is a designation for retail
* For testing, the S2716DGr power cable should be plugged directly into the grounded 3 prong wall outlet. No surge protector

Bought the monitor through Amazon.

It is plugged directly to the wall.

Built on 3/9/17. Warranty to 10/23/20. The power cable is "standard". If available, test any other PC or monitor standard power cable on the S2716DGr. If still have issue or no other power cable to test, follow these instructions to get the S2716DGr into your name. Once done, read this.
