S3220DGF, brightness not adjustable

When I select the brightness/contrast adjustment from my monitor's menu I can adjust the contrast but the brightness slider is grayed out. I've tried resetting to factory defaults to no avail.

* To what PC model/operating system/video card is the S3220DGF connected using what ports and cabling?
* Open the S3220DGF Menu- Others
* Go back to DDC/CI and make sure it is set to On
* Exit Menu and retest Brightness

Brightness will not be available in some preset modes, or if HDR or dynamic contrast is on.

Zeetocht,

Did the information from the Dell-Admin resolve the issue?

No. My PC is self built with an Intel Core i5-6500 cpu, an AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT gpu running Windows 10 Pro version 1909.

The DDC/CI is set to on and the brightness slider is still grayed out.

Zeetocht,

Just to add to swamped207 great reply.

Test all Preset Modes (Standard/FPS/MOBA/RTS/RPG/SPORTS/ComfortView/Warm/Cool) checking to see if Brightness is available.

Thanks Swamped, HDR was the culprit!

Menu- Display- Smart HDR (Changed to Off)
