S3220DGF, not running 120Hz? #13

I bought a Dell S3220DGF in June this year (so it's now 5 months old), the manufacture date is April 2020 and the it is revision A01.

I have been using it OK with my PC but had the intention of also using it with the new consoles once they were released. I just got an XBox Series X and it reports that the monitor is not capable of running at 120Hz.

I have read that since my monitor was made the EDID on revision A03 has been updated to include HDMI 2560 x 1440 120Hz. Is there any way that the EDID can be updated on the monitor that I have ? I'm obviously very disappointed with my S3220DGF just now.

Update November 19, 2020 = Yes, I have received the replacement S3220DGF. I’m very happy to confirm that it works at 1440p/120Hz with the Xbox Series X.
