S3422DWG, Radeon settings, no FreeSync Premium Pro, #2

ScreenShot_20220415221800.png

Sorry for the language. I am currently using S3422DWG with AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT graphic card. But in Radeon setting its showing Adaptive Sync Compatible not FreeSync Premium Pro? Dell is advertising S3422DWG as AMD FreeSync Premium Pro. But why is this happening?

This is my current system =

VGA : Sapphire AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT Pulse
VGA driver: 30.0.15021.1001
OS : Windows 10 21H2
Scrn:  3440x1440 144Hz
Port:  DP 1.4 (Dell DP cable)

A user reported that AMD released 22.5.2 which corrected their incorrect labeling.

The sales site list "Adaptive Sync" and its subset, "AMD FreeSync Premium Pro Technology". This is showing that AMD FreeSync Premium Pro Technology is a subset component of Adaptive Sync.

There are other users also reporting that the Radeon Control Panel calls the S3422DWG, Adaptive Sync Compatible. But once those users started a game, within the games settings they saw, Freesync Premium Pro. So this sounds like a Radeon driver issue versus a hardware malfunction of the S3422DWG.

nope the sale site says freesync premium pro

and you have to know the problem is that I bought S3422DWG and S2721DGF at the same time.

S2721DGF is showing exactly Freesync premium pro, but not S3422DWG.

S2721DGF is also same list as S3422DWG you can check  from here

so you are saying this sounds like a radeon driver issue versus S3422DWG.

The answer is this is 100% issue from S3422DWG.

Dell really need to fix this problem or else I just need to bring my monitor back to dell shop.

just test with other system with 6700xt with 2 monitor

and it shows s2721dgf  = freesync premium pro

but s3422dwg = adaptive sync

also i tested rx470 graphic card and it is same

so you really cant say that this is issue s3422dwg vs radeon driver issue

cant see the picture but i get it.

If they were both showing adaptive sync i will say ok but s2721dgf is premium pro not s3422dwg.

i cant accept that.

i also tested two monitors s2721dgf + s3422dwg

with 6700xt + rx470

11400f+ 6700xt and 5600x + 6700xt

still same problem

so it cant be the radeon driver issue

According to AMD based on Dell specifications the g3223d is FreeSync Premium Pro but in Adrenalin (AMD software) is not seen as PremiumPro just FreeSync. Why?

Dell S2721DGF-A is older and is seen as PremiumPro.

I'm a little disappointed and i will return the monitor (g3223d), it's not something you change every day, in addition i paid for something "premium" wich is not...

Did any of you actually test a game to see what it showed?

"But once those users started a game, within the games settings they saw, Freesync Premium Pro."
