U2410, Windows 10, TB16, Precision 7520
Can anyone let me know how to hook up my U2410 alongside my S2817Q monitor through the Thunderbolt TB16 Dock? Am running Windows 10 on a precision 7520 laptop docked to the TB16. I have tried by VGA and HDMI cable, but as soon as it is connected, the primary monitor S2817Q seems to become the secondary monitor. Yet I have no issues when I connect a very old Viewsonic VP2130b as my second monitor.
Thanks for any suggestions

Hi Dai Bach,
It sounds like the monitors are being detected but not configured correctly for the TB16 to recognise which monitor is which.
The following article explains to how to setup the TB16 with the correct driver install order and then how to troubleshoot common scenarios encountered. There is a section for display issues and it recommends configuring the monitors using the Intel control panel. Page 18 of the user guide explains how to configure the monitors correctly.

Hardware data =
Precision 7520 video out ports = Thunderbolt USB Type-C/mDP/HDMI
TB16 video out ports = HDMI/VGA/mDP/DP/Thunderbolt 3 USB Type-C
U2410 VGA/DVI/DP cables, 1920x1200 60Hz, video in ports DP/HDMI/DVI/DVI/VGA
S2817Q HDMI/DP to mDP cables, 3840x2160 60Hz, video in ports HDMI/HDMI/DP/mDP
* The AC power adapter must be connected to the Precision 7520 when using the TB16
* First, connect only the S2817Q =
Precision 7520 Thunderbolt USB Type-C out port --> TB16 USB Type C cable
TB16 DP out port --> S2817Q DP to mDP cable --> #1 S2817Q mDP in port
* Make sure it works and the S2817Q resolution is 3840x2160 60Hz
* Then, add the secondary U2410
TB16 VGA out port --> VGA to VGA cable --> #2 U2410 VGA in port
The operating system should see the U2410. Set it as Secondary in the Displays section.
