U2410, not powering up, no LED

Question

My U2410 connected via DP on GTX 1060 6GB wouldn't power up this morning (After years of faultless service).  Yesterday I had been replacing a DP cable, but that must be coincidental. After searching the web for help, I found that disconnecting all cables, holding the power switch for 10 seconds worked. However, every time I power down the monitor, I have to go through the same process again. Can anyone please advise what this is indicating.  Thanks.

Some internal component is failing. Which one, no idea since we do not repair them. The cost to repair will be more than the market value of this 8 year old monitor.

Okay, thanks. I thought that would be the conclusion. Is there a 16:10 replacement? My work is photo editing.
