U2412M flickering problem
I have an XPS 1640 laptop and I have just connected a U2412M monitor via displayport. The monitor keeps flickering really badly. Sometimes it goes black for about three seconds then just flickers a lot. Can anyone suggest a fix for this? I have an ATI Radeon 4670 card in the machine. I have updated the drivers on both the monitor and the card but it still flickers. It works fine on VGA but I really want to use a digital connection.

Did you ever receive any resolution for this? I have reported the same problem here:en.community.dell.com/.../19437737.aspx
At first I thought it was the OptiPlex 990 desktop, but now I am certain the DisplayPort input on the monitor is at fault.
