Sharpy1,

Is there a VGA port on the computer to test VGA to VGA on the monitor to see if it also has the same issue? Is there another computer to test on?

Yes, the same thing still happens, i ordered from the dell website a few days ago and when it arrived one side of the protection tape was cut and the information paper inside was in mexican saying it was a U2412Mb?

On the back it has REV A00 also. Im not sure if my monitor is brand new,  What should i do?

If you purchased it from here, it is new. If you purchased from here, it is refurbished. The "b" is just our factory ID. I have only seen reports of A00. What is the monitor 20 digit serial PPID number?

* Press monitor Menu button to open the OSD (On Screen Display)
* Go to Other Settings- Factory Reset
* Choose Reset all settings
* Retest

It is new. Manufactured on December 11, 2013.
* Turn the computer off
* Leave the monitor on
* Unplug all of the cables from the back and sides of the monitor except the monitor power cord
* The monitor then goes into the self-test mode
* Press and hold Button 1 and Button 4 on the monitor front panel simultaneously for 2 seconds
* A gray screen appears
* Press Button 4. The color of the screen changes to red
* Press Button 4. The color of the screen changes to green
* Press Button 4. The color of the screen changes to blue
* Press Button 4. The color of the screen changes to black
* Press Button 4. The color of the screen changes to white
* Press Button 4 to exit the test

If you did not see the flicker during the test, the monitor is fine. The issue is with either the cabling, video card, or the video card driver.
