U2414H Buttons Randomly Activate at Intervals

My new U2414H monitor will display menus as if one of the buttons on the bezel had been touched. More annoying, it will occasionally completely turn off as if I had physically touched the power button. I've tried with two computers (mid 2011 iMac and an old Macbook), both have experienced the same issue, so I do not think it's related to external hardware. Right now, I've enabled the menu lock option so that most of the random button activations only result in a lock icon appearing, but this does not stop the monitor from turning off randomly. As these are capacitive buttons, I suspect shoddy insulation is allowing interference activate the buttons. Has anyone else experienced this issue? Is the only method of recourse getting a replacement through Dell?

nickswalker,

* Turn the monitor off
* Disconnect every cable from the monitor
* Press and hold in the power button for 10 seconds
* Reconnect only the monitor power cord to the monitor
* The other end of the monitor power cord should be plugged directly into the grounded 3 prong wall outlet
* Turn the monitor on
* The no signal message should appear on screen, then no cable message
* Press and hold Preset Modes button 1 and Menu button 4 on the front panel simultaneously for 2 seconds
* A gray screen appears
* Press Menu Button 4. The color of the screen changes to red
* Press Menu Button 4. The color of the screen changes to green
* Press Menu Button 4. The color of the screen changes to blue
* Press Menu Button 4. The color of the screen changes to black
* Press Menu Button 4. The color of the screen changes to white
* Press Menu Button 4 to exit the test

During the test, does the monitor randomly turn off? If not,
* Reconnect it to a computer
* Once up and running test the monitor within the operating system
