U2414H, DDM, not recognized after Windows update and system restore

Hello,

U2414H was working fine until two days ago when I ran the 3rd party Advanced System Care Pro and installed some windows update. Then my laptop (Windows 7) stopped recognizing the U2414H. Went back to a restore point, and after fiddling for long enough, the monitor is recognized again. Current situation: sometimes when I restart my laptop the U2414H is recognized, sometimes not, and I have to unplug it and plug again, sometimes several times, for it to be recognized. DDM sometimes recognizes the monitor, sometimes doesn't (red X, "please connect a supported Dell monitor"). Also, the Powernap screen saver no longer works; the screen goes black, I get a "Screen Saver stopped working" crash message, and it goes back to desktop. Nothing changed hardware wise in the last week.

DDC/CI is Enabled
DisplayPort 1.2 is Disabled

The fact that the U2414H and DDM (Dell Displays Manager) were working BEFORE you installed the 3rd party Advanced System Care Pro and did the Windows updates means that the U2414H and DDM are functional.

We need more data =
* To what computer model is the monitor attached?
* What operating system is installed on the computer?
* What video card/GPU is installed in the computer?
* What video OUT ports are on the video card/GPU?
* List all monitor cables and adapters attached to the computer and the ports they are using and how they are connecting to the monitor. For example =
Computer video card GTX 1080 DP out port --> DP to mDP cable --> U2414H mDP in port

* Turn the computer and U2414H off
* Reconnect the U2414H USB upstream cable to the U2414H and the computer USB port
* Reconnect ONE video cable from the U2414H to the computer
* Turn the U2414H on, then the computer

I would then uninstall the 3rd party Advanced System Care Pro. When done, restart the computer. Uninstall DDM. When done, restart the computer. Open the Device Manager. Under Monitors, do you see U2414H? Now, download and reinstall DDM. When done, restart the computer.

This is an Intel HD4000 display driver error. See if you can update that before trying anything more drastic. The latest on Intel's site is numbered build 4653 and you've somehow managed to get build 2712.
