U2417H, Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070, connection not working

I have a U2417H which I am trying to connect to the graphics card Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 (HDMI/DP/DP).

Connection attempt #1: (mDP input selected) DP to mDP.
After switching the U2417H on, it says scan for signal and then no mDP signal from your device and goes into PSM (Power Saving Mode). I have tried putting the DP into all the slots on the graphics card.

Connection attempt #2: (HDMI input selected) HDMI to HDMI. After switching the U2417H on it says scan for signal and then no HDMI signal from your device and goes into PSM.

I've tried turning off the U2417H and pc waiting for 30 seconds and turning them on again but it doesn't work. Previously I used the U2417H working connected with DP in the monitor to mDP in the Thunderbolts ports on my MacBook Pro laptop and that worked.

Any help is immensely appreciated.

* If you did not purchase this monitor directly from Dell, you need to fill out the Service Tag number Ownership Transfer form

* Does the stand alone/disconnected from PC video card U2417H Built-in Diagnostics (page 49) pass or fail?
