U2417HWi, not turning off automatically

Hello there! I've recently changed the HDMI cable I'm using on my U2417HWi, and for some reason I'm getting the message "No HDMI cable. The display will go into Power Save Mode in 5 minutes" every time I turn my computer off. While there is obviously a cable on since I didn't unplugged it. Is there a way to turn off the message? Or to bypass the problem? I would well buy a new HDMI cable to match the first one but what are the spec required? Thanks.

Oximo,

Unfortunately, I do not see any place to turn off the message.

Alright.

Any chance you have details about the hdmi cable type that seem to prevent this ?

Oximo,

I do not have any information about the specific hdmi cable in my database. I will ask one of our engineers.

"Why did you move away from using the provided in the U2417HWi box 1.8m/5.9ft W69C3 HDMI to HDMI cable?"

Because I had to move the monitor further (adding another one) and the original cable is too short.

It's just a bit weird to me that I get a sleep mode problem because of the cable type.

I see. The problem here is that Dell and our monitor manufacturer only tested/validated the 1.8m/5.9ft W69C3 HDMI to HDMI cable. The longer cable is the issue. You need to reconfigure the setup to allow usage of the provided cable.
