U2713H not displaying 1080p 24fps thru HDMI port

I purchased 3 U2713H monitors, clarifying in advance with my salesman that the hdmi would handle 1080p24.

The 1080p24 signal is coming from a Black Magic Intensity Pro card:

None of the (3) U2713H Rev A01 monitors I have will display this.

My $200 Samsung display handles it without issue.

I don't have the option of switching to another output format, I'm playing 1080p24 hz video.

This is a deal breaker for me where I'll be forced to return at least one monitor.

hdmiWannabe,

Does 1080p24 mean 24 bit? If yes, the User Manual states,
"12-bit internal processing which tested HDMI with deep color (12-bit)"
"12-bit internal processing with 14-bit LUT"

Chris - no, 1080p24 does not mean 24 bits.

It means 24 frames per second.  The p means progressive, a full frame.

1080i60 would be interlaced at 60 frames per second.

A decent BluRay player can output 1080p24 (as film is shot 24p), and that is the only way you want to watch it.

My Sharp large screen monitor displays "24p" on-screen at first when it's getting 1080p24 from a BluRay.

My Black Magic card outputs 1080p24 - and not having it work is a deal breaker for me.

All my two year old Samsung displays can read 1080p24 without issue.  One Samsung that's 4 years old can't.

As I mentioned, I have three of the U2713H's, and none will display it.

Do you work for DELL?  Would it be possible find out if the DELL U2713HM will display 1080p24?

I've had great difficulty getting tech support from DELL - and glad to see you're responding on this forum.

Thanks!

Understood. I tweaked the title for clarification. I will send this thread to the team. Yes, I work for Dell. Since 1997.

The U2713H User's Guide states:
Video display capabilities (DVI & DP & HDMI playback) = 480p, 480i, 576p, 576i, 720p, 1080p, 1080i

It also list 1920x1080 under Display Mode.
