U2715H, Daisy Chain, WD15, resolutions

My setup is like this:
Dell Latitude laptop -> Dell WD15 dockingstation -> two Dell U2715H monitors.
The monitors are installed in a daisychain via the displayport connection. The monitors are brand new, and got installed today. I've updated the drivers for both the laptop and the WD15.

Problem: The 2nd monitor refuse to let me choose the optimal resolution which is 2560x1440, only 1920x1080. On the first monitor this is no issue, it lets me select 2560x1440. So what do I do? Why won't the second monitor let me choose the same resolution as the first?

That is a design limitation of the WD15.

* Open the WD15 User's Guide
* Page 30 shows the "Display resolution table"
Dual Display (maximum resolution)
2x FHD or WUXGA (1920x1080 60Hz) (1920x1200 60Hz)

This article also states =
Multiple monitors can also be connected using the mDP (mini-DisplayPort) in daisy-chain. Monitor should support daisy-chain & cannot exceed supported resolutions mentioned below for dual display configuration.

1920x1080 2 monitors 60 Hz
1920x1200 2 monitors 60 Hz

The fact that you can get one monitor to do 2560x1440 is a plus and not shown as available in both the User's Guide and article.
