U2717D, not detecting MacBook Pro 2017

Hi,

I tried connecting a Dell Monitor U2717D with a MacBook Pro 2017 using both an HDMI and a DP cable, but none of them works. When using the HDMI cable, the laptop seems to be aware of the monitor, but the monitor remains with a black screen. When I tried connecting the DP cable, I get the no DP signal message on the monitor. Does anyone know how to solve this issue please?

Thanks,
Leanne

As you can see in the image below taken directly from the U2717D page, the Apple proprietary hardware, operating system, and drivers were not tested/validated by Dell.

Since we at Dell are not trained in the usage of the Apple operating system, you should ask the Apple users on their Forum for troubleshooting opinions.

What we would need you to do is connect the monitor to a Windows based computer (not an Apple computer running Windows Bootcamp) and then retest. We could then troubleshoot with you.
