U2719DC, USB Type-C, randomly turns off then on

I just got my U2719DC today. I'm experiencing random reboots (screen turns off for 1-4 seconds then turns on) multiple times a minute. I tried both HP Elitebook 840 G5 and 850 G5's that we have and both experience the same issue when connected via the supplied USB Type-C cable. The firmware seems the latest (M3T207). I tried both the latest Intel graphics driver available and rolled-back to the older version found in the HP driver website for this specific model. Is there some setting I need to tweak to get this to behave properly or did I just get a defective monitor?
