U3014, DDM, Displayport 1.2

I have a new U3014 connected via DisplayPort cable. With the menu "switch" settting at 1.1a, DDM (Dell Display Manager) recognizes the monitor and I have full functionality within the software to make changes to the monitor settings.  When I set the menu "switch" to 1.2 (which enables my second Dell monitor connected via daisy chain) DDM stops recognizing the U3014. The second Dell display is never recognized by DDM. Is anyone else seeing this? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

yes i noticed this also on my dell u2713h (jan build date)  ,it works fine[monitorcontrol software] untill you enable the full display 1.2 spec mode and the software stops recognising/connect to  the monitor!!!

What is second monitor that your daisy chaining to the primary? Explain in detail how you are daisy chaining.

The second monitor that I am using is a U2713HM - however, that makes NO difference.  What makes the difference is when I set the 1.2 display port switch on the U3014.  With it set to 1.1a - Display manager recognizes the U3014 with no problems.  As soon as I set the switch to 1.2, the Display manager cannot find the U3014.  As far as connections go, it's display port OUT of the computer to display port IN on the U3014, from the U3014 OUT to the U2713HM. All cables are "full-size" display port cables.

I also have this problem with a new  U2913WM using Display Port 1.2. DDM stops recognising the monitor. Tried with the supplied DDM and the version it updates to ver 12.85

Chris - obviously this a problem with several of the current monitors including the brand new u3014.  Where is Dell at with a solution?

I agree. Only yesterday I received a new U2913WM direct from Dell complete with the latest firmware but as soon as I switched to Display Port 1.2 DDM failed to recognise the monitor. Back to 1.1a and it reappears. Let's hope Entech can sort this out at a software level.

This is a Retail Nvidia card installed into my desktop machine which is not Dell.

Are those Dell OEM video cards or the retail versions? Are they installed in Dell OEM computers or other?

No - not a Dell OEM video card and No - not in a Dell OEM computer... custom built.
