U3219Q, KVM not waking USB Type-C when in sleep mode

I have recently purchased a U3219Q that is connected to two laptops:

1. HP Elitebook: USB Type-C
2. Dell XPS: DP and USB

- I am using the built in KVM which works flawlessly when I use hotkeys to switch between laptops.
- Both laptops are set to "do nothing" with the lid down and sleep after 1 hour.
- This worked on my previous setup when both laptops were connected to another Dell monitor and I had to toggle the keyboard between USB and Bluetooth depending on the laptop I was switching to.

When the laptops go to "sleep" I can always wake the Dell, but the HP doesn't respond until I pull out the USB Type-C and put it back in. (The laptop remains on and in sleep mode)

Is there a setting on the monitor for waking USB Type-C devices?

  1. On your keyboard, press the Windows key + X and select Control Panel.
  2. Click Hardware and Sound, then click Power Options.
  3. Click Change plan settings for the plan you want to change.
  4. Click Change advanced power settings.
  5. Click the plus sign (+) next to “USB settings” and “USB selective suspend setting” to expand the options and change the setting to Disabled.
  6. Click OK to apply the setting.

Sadly, this did not work after all.
