U3415W, Intel HD 630, Windows 10, only 6-bit colors

i7-8700K, U3415W, Displayport, Windows 10 1803 (10.0.17134)

Intel HD 630 driver version 24.20.100.6286 (8/29/2018)

Windows drivers detect the U3415W only for 6-bit support. Other monitors work fine with the same cable and computer. The U3415W is recognized properly with different graphics adapters. I googled this issue and this has been happening with all Intel HD drivers and multiple Dell monitors since August 2017. I cannot revert to the old ones as they do not support my processor.

Is this an issue with Dell or Intel? How can I force 8-bit colors to the U3415W. As it is now the U3415W is completely unusable for any work with images.

Thank you, I had not tested the  15.47.02.4815 (10/10/2017) driver for some reason. That seems to work. I will contact Intel support and let them know about the issue.

By testing other graphics adapters, you have proven that the U3415W is functioning correctly. The fault lies with the Intel HD driver. 9 of their drivers previous to 6286 state that they work on 8th generation CPU. So why can't you install an older version?
