U3417W, Lenovo C940 USB Type-C to HDMI adapter, DDM not connecting
I got a Dell U3417W a couple months ago and have been using DDM (Dell Display Manager) successfully on this monitor with my other Lenovo Legion via HDMI port. When I switched to a newer laptop, Lenovo C940, with a USB Type-C -> HDMI adapter (EZQuest X40092) -> HDMI to HDMI cable, the monitor display was OK but DDM cannot detect the monitor.
I tried updating the drivers of the monitor and the graphic card; disconnecting and connecting all cables/cords while PC was off.
* PC model - Lenovo C940
* Operating system - Win10 home
* Video card specifications (video out ports) - Intel Iris Plus
* Then detail how the video card is connected to the monitor like this: Lenovo USB Type-C -> EZQuest x40092 -> HDMI cable that came with the monitor -> Dell U3417W
* DDM version - 1.50.1996
I did notice the message here. The problem there was the manager actually worked perfectly for a while before it went out. I wonder if there is any test I can do to make sure the problem was in the cable before I order one and what specification of the cable I should check.

I uploaded the log but wasn't able to get any answer here. Today my new Anker usb-c hub arrived and after I replaced the EZQuest with it, the DDM worked as expected. So I guess it WAS the cable.

DDM diagnostics
Press/hold the shift key, right click on the DDM system tray icon, select "Save diagnostic report" from the popup menu. Then post it out here as a Reply.

Generally, only the digital-to-analog VGA adapter/converters are prone to issues; digital-to-digital like your USB-C to HDMI tend to be ok, so I'm guessing it could be the Intel display driver - their DDC/CI support has been problematic lately.
