U3417W, Macbook Pro, starts up then turns off

Hey everyone,

Two days ago I started having issues with my Dell U3417W. It had been working fine all day but I unplugged my Macbook Pro, worked in another room, and came back a few hours later and it wouldn't turn on after clicking the power button. No lights or anything. I unplugged the power from the back and plugged it back in and the Dell logo splash screen comes on for a few seconds, shows an alert that says "No DP signal from your device", and then a 2-3 seconds later turns off. I try to click the power button again and nothing happens. Then I repeat the cycle of unplugging the power etc.

What I've tried so far:

I've been reading the forums and have:

  1. Unplugged the power and all cables from the monitor
  2. Held the power button down for 8 seconds to power cycle
  3. Unplugged hdmi from my Macbook
  4. Restarted my Macbook
  5. Plugged the power back into the monitor
  6. Plugged HDMI back into monitor
  7. Plugged HDMI back into Macbook

Still no luck. Any additional help would be greatly appreciated.
