U4919DW, Mac Pro, USB Type-C no connection

I just bought and set up this U4919DW in my studio today and plugged in my brand new Mac Pro via USB Type-C and constantly get the message that no connection was being found.

I tried a different USB Type-C cable with the same result. Then tried my new MacBook Pro with the same result.

Why would the USB Type-C port not be 'seeing' my devices please? Maybe I'm missing a crucial setting.

HDMI works fine by the way.
