Viewing angle on 2208WFP
Hi all,
I have a 2208WFP. The viewing angle interval seems to be 10 degrees on my specimen. If I raise/lower my head 7-8 cm (3 inches) the colors change considerably.
Is this a setting issue?
or do I have a faulty monitor?
or is this behavior by design?

Any TN (Twisted Nematic) Film panel monitor will have some uneven backlight and color gradient. When changing your viewing angle (view from the top, bottom or sides) certain parts of the monitor may appear darker or discolored. This is normal and within specifications. Getting an exchange will not change this issue. You would need to purchase the higher ended more expensive IPS or PVA panels to lessen this.
To illustrate this, go here to see a comparison of a G2410 TN Film panel and the U2410 IPS panel. Under Step 3, choose Viewing angles.

Thanks for your reply.
What does the Viewing angle-parameter mean?
