BlockBasedBackup save process remains "state active" and does not start

hi all,

I discovered some Troubles with BBB on a Windows file Cluster 2008R2
.

The Server has 65 savesets to backup, parallelism is set to 10.

but only one, max. 3 sessions are backing up at the same time.

there are 10 save processes started on the Client, all are listed "state active" in NMC, but they do not start.

for 9 sessions (all active ones) there is a bb_exclude_set.db file created and the lck files. (see screenshot)

Client Version: 8.2.1.5

Server: 8.2.0.5 (AIX)

does anyone has an idea what might cause that behaviour ?

thanks

Dominic

further analsis Shows that all save processes are opened but nsrwriter.exe does not proceed and waits for the first one to finish till it gives the next save for backup.

please see Screen, the one save with most of the RAM is doing backup. all others not.

1) Is it a standalone server or cluster?

2) server is very busy when BBB is run?

3) any waiting for media msg?
