Can Legato configure an IP addressed tape drive in unix?

Hi,

can someone tell me if legato can configure an IP addressed tape drive.

OS : Solaris 10

NW version : 7.5.1

The tape drives information is as below

192.168.120.11       T2K tape 1 – T10KTAPE1DR.corp.convatec.com       Tape Drive
192.168.120.12       T2K tape 2 – T10KTAPE2DR.corp.convatec.com       Tape Drive

Or how can I configure these tape drive at OS level.

I do not find any thing under the path /dev/rmt

Thanks,

Hi Karthik,

By IP addressed tape drive you mean iSCSI attached tape?

Hi Karthik,

Normally, tape drives has IP address only for maintaining purposes (diagnostic, firmware upgrade, etc), and his "data transfer" interface is FC, SAS or SCSI. You don't need to configure this IP's under Networker environment.
