Client LADB corruption
Good afternoon everyone,
I've been having some problems with Networker recently. I'm new to the software so please bear with me.
I couldnt browse any of the client savesets/resources from the server, I believe all of the clients have been upgraded but from what little i know it looks like the ladb's have been lost/corrupted in some way.
I've trialled a fix by removing the client software and reinstalling, then resolving any issues that arose (NSR peer information, etc) and can now manage the client properly.
My questions is, if i perform the same fix on the rest of the client installations, will i still be able to perform a recovery from the backup media? (ie will a new client installation still be able to recover files from the old clients media if they have the same naming convention?)
Many thanks

It would be fatal if you would not be able to recover what you have backed up.
BTW - solving the issue is pretty easy:
1. On the NW server run
nsradmin -p nsrexec
type: nsr peer information; name: fqdn_of_the_NW_client
p (to verify)
d (to delete)
y (to confirm)
<... if more clients, repeat from "type" ...>
q (to quit)
Depending on the SW version, you might also need to run ...
2. On the NW client run
nsradmin -p nsrexec
type: nsr peer information; name: fqdn_of_the_NW_server
p (to verify)
d (to delete)
y (to confirm)
q (to quit)
NW will automatically assign new certificates with the next connection.
