Does data domain supports "Tape Out"
Hi,
I have the following scenario:
Main site: Networker, DataDomain DD640 , Physical tape library
DR: Data Domain DD640 , Physical tape Library (without Networker)
In the Main Site I will use Networker to backup my data to the Data Domain and tape out my backup to the physical tape library
In the DR site we don't have networker, so we will activate the replication between the 2 Data Domains and all the backup data will be replicated to the DR data domain.
In addition I need to tape out my DR data domain to a secondary physical tape library. is that possible?
can I configure the datadomain to copy all it's data to the physical tape library without using any third party software?
or I am missing something?

There is TapeOut with DD unless using 3rd party backup application (in your case NetWorker). I fail to see why do you need tape out on both locations. You have replication between main site and DR site (DD replication or CCR) - so why tape out on top of that? And if you wish to keep extra copy on 3rd location, then have that copy made at one place (eg. main site) not both of them.
