Error backing up Lotus Domino databases!
Hi all,
Asking for your help.
I make a backup using the module NMDA.
The following error occurs:
sh: ps: not found
sh: grep: not found
semid 33554445: Too many open files
The smBItem shared memory (size = 4312020) creation call failed, errno = 24 (Too many open files).
I have the following configuration:
-server Networker 7.6 sp.1
-module NMDA
-Lotus Server 7.3 on OS AIX 5.3 ,limits are increased.
-configuration backup:

Hi,
You may need to extend the shared memory on the AIX host. You can find details on how to do this in this article:
How to manage shared memory on AIX with Lotus Domino
The first couple of lines of the error you post indicate that there is a script which is calling ps and grep commands which can't be found. You probably just need to include the full paths to these commands in the script. If you're depending on this ps command for the successful running of the backup, then that will cause the backup to fail also.
