Hi Pratik,

My suggestion would be to go for NMM 2.3, as this offers you both, full (DR) backups for AD and also granular backups, which allows you to restore a single object within AD.

There was a recent threat about configuring NMM for AD backups.

Thank you.

Hello Pratik,

Active Directory (AD) is the Windows directory service and the foundation for the Windows Distributed File System and  AD is a component of the Windows system state on Windows Server 2008 and 2003 domain controllers.

The NetWorker software automatically backs up AD as a component of the SYSTEM STATE or VSS SYSTEM BOOT save set.

Thank you,

Vishwanath K
