Looking for DATA DOMAIN documents
Dear Team,
I would like to learn DATA DOMAIN . So can anybody share the documents for the same. Please note that I have zero knowledge on DATA DOMAIN.

here the deduplication is source side or destination side? and what is source side and destination side deduplication?

Destination Site Deduplication = eleminating duplicate data at DD
Source Site Deduplication = eleminating duplicate data already at the data source (where the disks are attached)
Obvious result: less data to transfer
CIFS = Common Internet File System The Windows specific, native file system
NFS = NetWork File System The UNIX/Linux specific file system
You may also use a DD as a 'standard' disk system if you so not want to use DDBoost.

DD provides destination site inline variable length deduplication.....DDBoost cannot be explained in one line...its a proprietary protocol designed by Dell EMC and supported by list of other Backup solutions as well apart from NetWorker and Avamar.
