MS SQL DB Backup
Hi All,
I have MS SQL on my windows host. This is new configuration.
FYI, Windows Host name is different from MS SQL DB Instance name.
Eg: Windows Host Name : wintest
DB Instance Name : wintestsql
While running the backup, I am getting below error message.
Error "Cannot run savefs: The requested operation requires elevation. (Win32 error 0x2e4)"
Kindly advice or suggest on earliest.
Thanks,
Samuel Thomas

UAC settigs always needs a reboot.
Are you running 2012/2012R2 or 2008 ?
If running 2012 or latere there are some more settiings
The Admin Approval mode (ConsentPromptBehaviorAdmin )must be disabled as well

You Need to turn of UAC when you get this message.
Also, add the User to Backup Operators

Thanks for your prompt response.
I Turned off UAC as you advised. I did "gpupdate \force". No luck
Do I need to Reboot after this changes?
User already part of Backup Operators.
Thanks,
Samuel Thomas
