Who does the "Max nsrmmd count", under Device properties>Configuration, apply to? Storage nodes? Networker Server? Who?

Hi Kobus,

see below definition:

Max nsrmmd count - This attribute controls the maximum number of nsrmmd processes started for this device. This can be used to provide balancing of data streams going to this device across multiple nsrmmd processes. This attribute is only applicable to AFTD and DD devices. It is ignored for tape and classical File Type device.

This applies to the devices, so you need to go to "Media->Devices->Right click on the device you want to modify" then you can set the value you need.

Thank you,

Carlos

Yes, target sessions, max sessions and max nsrmmd count all apply to the specified device.  And there is always one nsrmmd process reserved for recovery/clone. So if max nsrmmd count is set to 4, up to 3 nsrmmd processes can be initiated for backup.
