NMM 2.4 Exchange 2010 and renaming the Default Public Folder
Apologies if this is a duplicate post. mine appears to have vanished....
Here is my situation. we have recently deployed a test exchange 2010 environment that we are migrating to. We tested it with networker 8.0 sp2 and it backed up with no issues at all.
As we have continued our migration we tested another backup. This time if failed. I drilled into the NMM logs on the exchange server and found the following entry as the point where things went downhill.
Error: The database "Default Public Folder" is dismounted. Mount the database before creating or running any jobs.
I checked with our exchange admin and he verified that he renamed the folder simply "Public folder". He wishes to keep it that way.
When it was changed BACK it worked properly. We then renamed it back to "Public folder" and went through a modify job on the networker GUI to de-select the "default public folder". anytime it is de-selected, it comes right back.
I can find no information about this or anything similar on these forums.
Any advice would be appreciated!

Can you run a nsrsnap_vss_save -? on the exchange server
I am assuming the information passed on to the nsrsnap_vss_save by the exchange writers still holds the old information !! was the server rebooted after the migration? If not, can you consult with you exchange admin if they can restart the 'Microsoft Exchange Replica Writer" service on the exchange ?
